Oakley 7 Months

Well Oakley's 7 months have come and gone. On the first of May she will be 8 months. I can't even believe it! She sure is a character these days. She has the cutest, funniest personality. She will laugh at so many random things, such as people having a conversation.

She is such a smily baby. She will smile at any stranger walking by looking at her. She is so friendly, but only if mom or dad is holding her. She is coming up with the case of separation anxiety. My mom tried to baby sit her this last weekend and she had to call us to come get her because nothing would make her stop crying. Once we got there she had finally calmed down, thanks to my cousin's fiancee. My mom said when we got there Oakley was a different baby compared to when we were gone. Sad. I guess this means no babysitters for awhile.

Oakley has started crawling! She doesn't go up on her knees to do it so it is more of an army crawl. But she is learning to get up on her knees, she just doesn't go anywhere when she is up. She can certainly get anywhere she wants to now. It is so cute to watch her crawl. She is getting super fast.

She loves to play games. Her favorite is when dad brings her over to grab something and then she drops it and expects him to bring her down to pick it up...and then drop it again. This can go on for awhile. Another game she likes to play is sort of similar. She will take these little snap toys out of the container one by one. It is amazing to watch her learn simple things like this. She did the same thing at church today. Jon was holding her by her diaper bag and she took out her diapers one by one. I was laughing so hard trying not to be loud. It was so funny, I didn't realize we had so many diapers in there. I guess we just don't realize there are already diapers in there so we put more in just to make sure we have enough.

We love this little girl so much and can't ever say enough how much we love her. She teaches me so much and I am so grateful to get to stay home with her all day long and watch her learn and grow.

Other news... Jon is GRADUATING May 28th. He is finishing up his last final tomorrow and has a presentation on Tuesday then he will be done and gets to walk at the end of the month. He still has one class he has to take this summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But he gets to walk in May because he is already registered for this class. I am so proud of him for all the hard work he does to get through school.

That is all for now. We have some fun trips in May that will hopefully be blogged about after they come and go:) We are excited!
