OHH the Memories...

So tonight for dinner, we had this WONDERFUL dish! Called, Hootnannies! I absolutely LOVEEEDDD this growing up! Every birthday we got to pick what we wanted to dinner. And this is what I picked, ALWAYS! So we probably had this every January 23rd for like 8 years in a row haha! It is probably the best pancake in the world! I love when things bring back such great memories.. Jon had never had it but, he loved it. I am so glad:)

Busy busy lives!!

Ever since school has started me and Jon haven't had hardly ANY time to relax together.. He's at school when I'm home and I'm at home when he is gone to soccer practice.. Then when we are at home together it is time for homework! I guess this is the life of marriage when both of us go to school. We definitely take advantage of our weekends together. We have managed to do some fun things since school has started. It's nice to do something other then school and homework..Gotta get out of the house sometime.

Over Labor Day weekend Jon's old roommate came to Utah. We all went to a Salt Lake Bee's game which they won barely in the last inning.. it was pretty fun. We watched the fireworks after! It was a lot of fun seeing everyone again!

This last weekend My best friend Bridgette came down to visit! It was so fun to see her and hang out with her! We went to lunch and played some guitar hero.
Then on Saturday Jon had to leave to Wyoming for some soccer games. So I went home to Idaho with Bridgette for a homecoming.
We went to the Eastern Idaho State fair on Saturday night. I haven't been to the fair in years! It was a lot of fun! This is us in line for a ride.. It was the very first fair ride I have ever been on in my life and I had a blast!
On Sunday after the homecoming me and my family went to my Grandma Stowell's house for dinner. She got to see her great granddaughter for the first time this weekend:)

It was a nice little break.. the only bad thing was I wasn't with Jon.. We won't be doing that again. This weekend it will be all about us:)

Time flies right before your eyes you know....crazy!

So I know that once your married you start counting anniversaries from your wedding date.. well we will start that from our one year from 7.10.09 still. But a year ago today was a good day for me and Jon! It was the day that we were "officially" together:)

Last year me and Jon started hanging out around the end of August.. It didn't take us long for both of us to know that we just wanted each other forever!

It all started with me messaging Jon on facebook asking him how his mission was.. Thank goodness I decided to get facebook that month! I have ALWAYS had a crush on Jon .. (Most everyone knows this).. since probably about the 9th grade! Soo I just thought talkin to him was awesome.. When he wrote back you should have seen me! I ran into my mom and was

like oooohh my gosh! Guess who is talking to me on facebook! I was just so happy:) So that is how we started talking.. He was moving to Salt Lake for school and I was moving to Provo for school and all my friends were moving to Salt Lake so I told him that we should hang out since I would be coming to Salt Lake so much! Well we exchanged phone numbers which was sooo GREAT! So we finally decided to meet up!

We didn't start the process of hanging out till way too late.. and to make it even harder was that we were TEXTING to find each other and get directions.. I was new to drivin in Utah so didn't know how to get around.. So after lots of driving we finally met up. We parked up a hill from temple square and the conference center. When I walked up to him he gave me a hug:) He was so nervous, I could tell.. But so was I of course! I was hanging out with the love of my life!

We walked around temple square then stopped and sat and talked for such a long time! We talked till about 3 AM.. and I still had to drive all the way to Provo.. Jeeze I wanted him bad to sacrifice driving late and losing sleep.. haha

We hung out EVERYDAY after that then on the 4th of September, he came to my house and we walked around my neighborhood and stopped at my church house and talked again forever.. We could always just talk and talk and talk for hours.. it was hard for us to stop ourselves from talking.. Later that night after he left we were still talking and we decided that we were definitely considered "together" haha so junior high, I know.. But I love it!!! He still gives me those butterflies he gave me from the very beginning:)

I am soo soo grateful that I got to get to know Jon.. I knew from the very moment I met him that I would love this boy for the rest of my life.. I want him to know that I will ALWAYS love him forever and ever! There is nothing that could ever make me happier.. Our life together is awesome and I know that it will only get better!

This last weekend my family came down to Utah! It's always fun when they come. Friday night we went down to Maija-Liisa's to hang out and play some wii! Saturday morning I went to breakfast with my family and Jon had to go to be to his soccer game an hour early so he couldn't go:( After breakfast we headed over to Dumke Field to watch my soccer star husband play soccer! I have a lot of fun watching Jon play, but it is so much better to have someone with me to watch him! My sister and her husband and little baby Ava came to the game too! We had lots of fun!

Closin up the summer of 09.

School is officially starting tomorrow for both me and Jon! It will be my first time doin the whole college thing. I am really excited and super nervous! I haven't been to school school in awhile! Just gotta get back in the groove. We'll see how that goes! Another not so great thing about school starting is me and Jon won't see each other as much:( We have been together non stop this entire summer.. minus Jon's 3 hour soccer practices everyday, but I can deal with that. It will be a new adventure. We have been busy this last little bit of summer. Just trying to get every last ounce of fun we can before the lameness of school starts.

DECORATING FUN!

My mom came into town a little bit ago to help my sister with little Ava and one of the days she went out shopping with me to help me find stuff to decorate our place with. We went to a fabric store, it was a kind of fabric store that I have never been too.. It had fabric for like fancy pillows and curtains and stuff. But I found some fabrics that I liked!! We got some boards to put the fabric on and I was ready to make all the stuff.

These are the boards I made for the living room.. They help make that wall not be sooo big and tall.. Nothing looked good on that wall all our pictures and frames were too small.. I'm glad I could kinda fix the problem.
These are the ones in our bedroom. Our room was kinda boring. We put together these wooden frame things we got from IKEA (our favorite store) and wrapped the fabric over.. Our neighbor below us got mad at us for pounding nails in..oops haha! We also got a dresser which helps a lot with all our stuff! We have lots!
I also got fabric and a frame for this cork board i put together! This was my favorite thing to make! It was a lot of fun! It is now in our kitchen!

SEVEN PEAKS!

Neither of us has been to seven peaks in a long time so we decided it was a must for this summer! We had so much fun! It was a hot hot day so it was perfect for swimming! I went on one of those steep slides that I have never been on! And I found out exactly why I didn't ever want to go on them! It was scary! It makes you go so fast that the water sprays in your eyes. At least I did it though, right? It was nice to get sun and relax with my love! We had tons of fun!

LAST DAY OF SUMMER:(

For the last day of summer we wanted to do something extra fun! And we sure accomplished that. We decided to go to Park City and go on the Alpine Slide there. But when we got there we got there we decided to get the whole all day thing that you can do everything as many times as you want. We were definitely glad we did that! We had so much fun!

Goin down the slide! The worker guy at the top told me not to go and start a race while we were going down.. He said I looked like the type.. Ya right! I was so chicken! Jon had to stop a couple times to let me catch up! haha. It was a lot of fun though!
Another one of the things to do was the Alpine Coaster! This is probably the funnest thing ever! I had more fun then on a roller coaster at Lagoon! I think it was cause it felt more risky, not as safe..But it was they assured us that. It goes so fast and winds through the mountains. TONS of fun! Here is me and Jon on the way up to the top.

After the coaster we went on the zip line.. Not as fun as the coaster but it was still fun. It goes way fast. It was nice and refreshing.
After that it was back to the coaster! We went separately this time! I was a little bit scared to go by myself.. but I still made it go just as fast:)

After we finished up at the resort place, we walked down Main Street and went and ate lunch at this really good pizza & pasta place. We had such a fun day! It was a great last day of summer... Now its time for school fun! WOOHOO!!

Happy 23 Baby!!!

Friday was Jon's 23rd birthday! Ava was cuttin it close coming so close to Jon's birthday, so Jon is happy! We woke up got ready and then we went to a movie, we had KFC for lunch, what a good birthday lunch huh.. It was at the very first KFC EVVEERR:) Then we came home and laid low for a while. Then Jon had to go to soccer practice.. Sad huh, soccer practice on your birthday! His coach should have canceled or something! Well... it was good for me! I had things to do! I had to get ready for the best birthday Jon has ever had:D So I headed to the mall and got him his gifts. Then I went to Walmart to pick up some other things, then went to get Jon a cake. I got home and had no time to make anything for dinner, so I called up Ruby River and made a take out order and in 20 minutes I set up the table. Then I had to go pick up dinner and head to get frosting and candles and as I was pulling into Smith's Jon texted me and told me he was on his way!! Ah i was rushin! So I got home and made him hide till I put the stuff in the house.. I lead him inside with his eyes closed to the bathroom so he could get ready, while I put dinner on some plates and wrote on the cake. Just in time! I only had 3 hours to do all this stuff, I was sweatin from running around everywhere! But I'm glad I pulled it off! Jon loved it:)
