Gingerbread Houses!!

It's starting to feel more like Christmas time! It has only snowed a little and it doesn't stay like it does in Idaho:( I can't wait to go to Idaho! It is just really cold here! I wish it would snow more!
We have put up what little Christmas decorations we do have, but our house is slowly getting emptier with moving, so it looks a little bit lame ha.
Classes are almost done for me! I only have one final to take next week! Jon still has lots to do. He still has class like usual and he's still got all his finals. Poor guy... We are both ready to be done with school right now!
This last weekend, my mom came down with her friends and we all went to lunch! We had a lot of fun and mom had lots of fun hangin out with Ava. I went shopping with her and her friends afterwards, and I wasn't planning on it, and the shoes I wore were real high heals...My feet were killing me!!

The girls at lunch!

Last night me and Jon made a gingerbread house to get in the Christmas spirit:) It was a lot of fun! The frosting started getting hard to squeeze out, so we kind of gave up..so our gingerbread house is kinda ghetto! But we had lots of fun:)

Putting rocks around our ice skating rink:)
All the yummy candy!

Our rock path! I love this the best~ it's those chocolate candyies that look like real rocks!
After we decided to give up, I just dumped lots and lots of powdered sugar everywhere so it looked like snow:)

Great News!!!

WE ARE MOVING!!

So a couple Sundays ago, Jon and I decided to go on a drive up and down the neighborhoods around here. The houses are really cute and I like to do stuff like that. Go look at old houses and wish I could live in a big old cute house! haha. So as we were driving we saw a for rent sign and we thought what the heck so we called. There are TONS of houses for rent around there, but this house looked like it had somethin special. The guy called us the next day and told us all about it and we were interested so we went to look at it. I fell it love with it! It is soo cute and they re did everything so the kitchen has brand new everything! So next thing we know, we are moving there! We put a deposit down, we got the keys and we can start moving in whenever! I am SO stoked to get out of this little apartment. It will be so nice not having to climb 8 million stairs! We won't have a great view of the city anymore, but we get a new view of the mountain just up the way! I am so excited I can't even explain it!
We took pictures today but they aren't that great, so pictures will be up soon hopefully!

Thanksgiving Break 09

This break me and Jon went home to Idaho to have TWO yummy Thanksgiving dinners! We first went to Jon's parents for the first and just had it with his immediate family. Then we went to my parents and had another dinner with all my extended family on the Decker side! I was really nice to be able to relax and just be with family. We had so much fun and I am looking forward to having two Thanksgiving dinners EVERY year!

We also got a chance to go snowboarding with Jon's friend Cody. It was opening day at Targhee. The snow wasn't that great but it was good enough for me to be able to get down the mountain and keep up without falling on my butt on the ice! On the last run the boys decided to go up the lift, and instead of goin down we hiked up the mountain! I had a real hard time climbing up that high in deep snow and in snow clothes! We had a lot of fun and I can't wait to hit the slopes again, justas long as we don't have to hike a mountain agiain:)

FALL-tastic!!

Just catching up!
Lots has happened since I last blogged. Ha.. I guess I've just been too bust to blog.. well its actually loading pictures and taking the time to write, so it's laziness that keeps me from blogging. At the beginning of the month all of Jon's old roommates came to town for the Westminster Alumni soccer game. His friend Cody also cam to visit. We had a fun weekend!

The boys after the game!
SNOW!!!
The first snow of the season:) I woke up to this! It made me sooo happy! I absolutely looove the snow! I am so excited for winter, it's my favorite season! These snowflakes were huge! They didn't last long though, its been so nice lately. This weekend we will hopefully go snowboarding, the resorts are open! Yay!

CONCERTS AND FAMILY
Also in October, Jon's brother came to town and stayed with us. We went a Quietdrive concert with a bunch of other bands before. It was a good time! Its nice to hang out with family! This is us with the lead singer of Quietdrive.

HALLOWEEN
You can't forget about the main reason for the month of October!! HALLOWEEN! We had such a fun Halloween this year. We dressed up as 80s workout people. We went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse with my sister her husband and their friends. Then we went to my Aunt Diane's to visit and show off cute baby Ava's costume. Then we went to my sister and Jared's friends for a party!
The whole group at the party
80's workout people! woot!
Me and big sister
Our pumpkin we carved at the party. We got 2nd place:)

Before the party!

CUTE LITTLE AVA
We love this little cutie! Me and Jon got a chance to babysit Ava while her mom and dad went to dinner and picked up a friend from the airport. She was so good for us. She wouldn't stop smiling, she was so happy to be hanging out with her aunt and uncle I guess. We had a lot of fun and hope to do it again soon, we love Ava!

BABY SHOWER FUN
I got to go down to Idaho also and go to my good friend Alex's baby shower! Our whole group of friends from cheer was reunited! It was a lot of fun and I am also very excited for Alex to have a cute little addition to her family:)

TRIPLE DATE AND IDAHO!!!
This last weekend we went home to Idaho just to hang out and visit the family! We also got to hang out with some of my friends and go out on a date with them! We went to the new movie A Christmas Carol, which I have to say was a very creepy movie. It was good though, I just wasn't expecting it to be so scary especially for being a kid movie! It definitely got me in the mood for Christmas time! I can't wait for it:)

We watched the movie 3D style:) Us in our sweet glasses!
Me and my sister and mom went to my little sisters basketball game, and also went to the museum to meet up with my little sister for a field trip, my mom was the chaparone/bus driver for the trip.. Maija-Liisa decided to have a staring contest with the buffalo, while we were stranded to the Idaho history part of the museum cause we couldn't get the stroller down the stairs with millions of 8th graders crowding around with no manners to get out of the way of a girl with a huge stroller and a baby!

Hopefully I will be able to get myself to blog sooner this next time!!!

Days till Christmas countdown! :)

No don't worry, I'm not counting down the days till Christmas just yet! But I did make a fun project with my sister yesterday. We wanted to do a cute project, so we headed to Roberts and walked around and we found this cute countdown to Christmas! We took a picture on my phone and headed off to find the stuff we needed to make it! It was so much fun! It took us a while to make it but it turned out so cute! Here are some pictures!

I had to draw the pattern for the tree I was nervous but it turned out cute.
You can't see in the picture but the letters are sparkly and all over it is sparkly with gold!
The whole thing! I can't wait to hang it up for Christmas time!!!

Me and my sister are definitely the crafty girls now. There are more projects to come for sure! Can't wait!

And this is what I picked, ALWAYS! So we probably had this every January 23rd for like 8 years in a row haha! It is probably the best pancake in the world! I love when things bring back such great memories.. Jon had never had it but, he loved it. I am so glad:)

Busy busy lives!!

Ever since school has started me and Jon haven't had hardly ANY time to relax together.. He's at school when I'm home and I'm at home when he is gone to soccer practice.. Then when we are at home together it is time for homework! I guess this is the life of marriage when both of us go to school. We definitely take advantage of our weekends together. We have managed to do some fun things since school has started. It's nice to do something other then school and homework..Gotta get out of the house sometime.

Over Labor Day weekend Jon's old roommate came to Utah. We all went to a Salt Lake Bee's game which they won barely in the last inning.. it was pretty fun. We watched the fireworks after! It was a lot of fun seeing everyone again!

This last weekend My best friend Bridgette came down to visit! It was so fun to see her and hang out with her! We went to lunch and played some guitar hero.
Then on Saturday Jon had to leave to Wyoming for some soccer games. So I went home to Idaho with Bridgette for a homecoming.
We went to the Eastern Idaho State fair on Saturday night. I haven't been to the fair in years! It was a lot of fun! This is us in line for a ride.. It was the very first fair ride I have ever been on in my life and I had a blast!
On Sunday after the homecoming me and my family went to my Grandma Stowell's house for dinner. She got to see her great granddaughter for the first time this weekend:)
Baby Ava.. I got a new phone and I got a program that I can do fun things with pictures.. So I've had some fun with it!
Grandpa Brian and baby Ava:)
Cute picture of mommy and baby:) I love it!
Us aunt's with Ava wearing her My Auntie Loves Me onesie:)

It was a nice little break.. the only bad thing was I wasn't with Jon.. We won't be doing that again. This weekend it will be all about us:)

Time flies right before your eyes you know....crazy!

So I know that once your married you start counting anniversaries from your wedding date.. well we will start that from our one year from 7.10.09 still. But a year ago today was a good day for me and Jon! It was the day that we were "officially" together:)

Last year me and Jon started hanging out around the end of August.. It didn't take us long for both of us to know that we just wanted each other forever!
It all started with me messaging Jon on facebook asking him how his mission was.. Thank goodness I decided to get facebook that month! I have ALWAYS had a crush on Jon .. (Most everyone knows this).. since probably about the 9th grade! Soo I just thought talkin to him was awesome.. When he wrote back you should have seen me! I ran into my mom and was
like oooohh my gosh! Guess who is talking to me on facebook! I was just so happy:) So that is how we started talking.. He was moving to Salt Lake for school and I was moving to Provo for school and all my friends were moving to Salt Lake so I told him that we should hang out since I would be coming to Salt Lake so much! Well we exchanged phone numbers which was sooo GREAT! So we finally decided to meet up!

We didn't start the process of hanging out till way too late.. and to make it even harder was that we were TEXTING to find each other and get directions.. I was new to drivin in Utah so didn't know how to get around.. So after lots of driving we finally met up. We parked up a hill from temple square and the conference center. When I walked up to him he gave me a hug:) He was so nervous, I could tell.. But so was I of course! I was hanging out with the love of my life!

We walked around temple square then stopped and sat and talked for such a long time! We talked till about 3 AM.. and I still had to drive all the way to Provo.. Jeeze I wanted him bad to sacrifice driving late and losing sleep.. haha

We hung out EVERYDAY after that then on the 4th of September, he came to my house and we walked around my neighborhood and stopped at my church house and talked again forever.. We could always just talk and talk and talk for hours.. it was hard for us to stop ourselves from talking.. Later that night after he left we were still talking and we decided that we were definitely considered "together" haha so junior high, I know.. But I love it!!! He still gives me those butterflies he gave me from the very beginning:)

I am soo soo grateful that I got to get to know Jon.. I knew from the very moment I met him that I would love this boy for the rest of my life.. I want him to know that I will ALWAYS love him forever and ever! There is nothing that could ever make me happier.. Our life together is awesome and I know that it will only get better!

I LOVE YOU JON !!! FOREVER!!
